Martin Luther King Jr. Day Coaster-Making Event

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 16, 2023), we held a seminar for elementary and middle school-aged children throughout the county to learn about Dr. King's contributions to environmental justice.  We also showed them a unique and creative way to minimize waste: reusing old magazines in their homes and making DIY coasters out of them.  In the end, we donated the wonderful coasters that our participants made to communities with seniors.  This event was hosted by the Department of Environmental Protection.
